Every professional educator relies on that precious daily interval intended for vital lesson preparation or a moment of respite from the classroom's demands. Since tradition identifies these as planning periods, that was the original name for this idea.
Yet, a "planning period" felt too synonymous with labor. We envisioned something different. The Off Block was born from the need for teachers to truly disconnect from their duties and reclaim their time for personal renewal.
